![]() It happened! Another summer has placidly slipped away into the crispness of autumn in the Rockies. It was a summer of wonderful events in the gallery and many pristine, inspired works finding their way into the homes of astute collectors. Stephen Datz's annual exhibition met and exceeded everyone's expectation in terms of quality and growth. Though staying within his genre and style, there is an elevated sensitivity to light and color in his latest artworks. Winter in Navajoland, a premiere work for his show, is still in the gallery - not because it doesn't take one's breath away, but because it is a huge painting that does need a special place to be exhibited. Perhaps it is meant for you! Peggy McGivern's Legends & Myths show opened in early August, incorporating not only the dynamic Native American theme, but also the tango'ing, horseback-riding people of Argentina and Chile, folks with their own myths and colorful history. Her collectors were thrilled and so was Peggy with collectors clamoring for her artworks. She is already working on her show for next August. Next up: Ken Daggett's solo show opening January 14, 2012. He has assured me that he could fill the entire gallery with the works he has been holding back for this show! So, this means that we get to offer you the best of the best. You will be seeing Ken at his greatest. He is one of the most deserving artists for his dedication to his art and the growth he exhibits year after year. February will open THE COLORS OF WINTER, our all-gallery group show with a couple of invited artists, too. This year Starr will join us with her beyond-quilting works of art. I am excited to share these with you as she is pure artist without a paintbrush. You'll see! Come visit soon. We need to have you share your admiration for the talents of all these artists. Warm regards, Anita
