Artists - Sharon Craft
The Art in Embassies program, a part of the U.S. State Department that provides art for ambassadors` residences around the world, has asked Sharon Craft to lend one of her paintings to their program for the next three years, to to hang in the embassy in Kadmandu, Nepal. The painting, "Moonrise," was on the cover of Sharon`s book, Painting the Mystery.
Sharon states, "These paintings are journeys of my heart. The new series of work is a search for spirit - the innate yearning for understanding the great mystery. To me, these forms embody the experiences we all have in the unfolding of our lives. Each painting is meant to be a small universe that represents the emergence of form, the syntheses of the concrete and spirit."
