Doug Candelaria grew up in an Old West atmosphere where cattle were driven down the streets of his neighborhood. These excursions left a strong impression on him and, to this day, he honors these cowboys, Indians and mountain men in his art. He believes in continuing his education through workshops and painting trips with such luminaries as Kim English, Kim Mackey, Tim Deibler and George Strickland, to name a few.
